What Can I Do If A Secretary E-mailed A Complaint And States I Am Unprofessional(nurse) To The Vp Of Nursing/avoiding Chain Of Command, I Am Very Stressed By This?
Do i have any legal recourse since this e-mail has been passed down all the way through upper to unit administration, along with the conversation this person has had with other's regarding this?
Answers
Legal recourse would be an extreme. The best thing to do is talk to this lady and discuss the matter one on one. If the incident that is called is unprofessional, then she will have to furnish proof of some sort. Also, it is the word of one person against another. Rather than you starting a gossip channel, keep calm and wait till someone senior asks your side of the story. If they fire you without asking your side of the story, then you can take legal action.
Don't worry, these things have a way of fizziling out soon!
