There is a constant battle between spam operators and email client providers. Companies such as Microsoft, Yahoo and Google spend millions dollars every year to ensure that spam does not infiltrate your inbox.
Spam is viewed by many sellers as a convenient and cheap tool to get their message across to millions of people at the click of a button. Spam is sent from servers all over the world, these servers are constantly moved from one location to the other. This makes prosecution very difficult.
Dos and Don'ts to tackle spam:
• If you receive spam, classify it as spam. This is a facility that is provided by most email providers. This will make the spammer's job a little more difficult. He will not be able to spam anybody with that ID again.
• Do not ever reply to spam.
• You can customize filters in your email client. It can be customized to such an extent that you could receive mails only from email IDs that you've authorized.
