What Is A Film Camera?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The Film or The Movie Camera is a photographic camera, which pertains to taking photographs by capturing them on film, which is a plastic sheet covered with a combination of silver halide salts along with various crystals. On development of this film, it can be viewed as a motion picture. Unlike a Still Camera, where only one image is taken, a Film Camera takes a sequence of images known as Frames. These Frames are later played by a movie projector which creates the illusion of motion. This is due to Persistence of vision. The basic explanation of how a film camera operates is when the shutter is opened, light enters and illuminates the film, then on closing the shutter, the film is transported to a frame further through the method of perforation.
