Why Are People Obsessed With "Intimate Relations" For Valentines Day Or In General When There Is So Much More To Life?

There is nothing more to life than an intmate relationship especially if you're in love. Life is  about being happy nothing makes you happier than being in love with someone and being able to be with them. So I guess to answer your question of why people are obsessed with it is because its the most desirable thing in the world and cannot be easily aquired and because its perfect and liberating yet stable and nothing in the universe can possible match it. People are obsessed with love because its worth being obsessed and worth fighting for (no matter how cliche that sounds) and there really isn't anything greater to life than that.

There are 365 days in the year. Even an extra one every four years. One day a year to celebrate love won't change the world, but might keep the fire warming the flame of romance. But valentines day is not just for lovers. It's also a chance for people to show  affection to other family & friends, life will go on with or with-out this holiday, but for some, the idea of such a touchy- feelly day is not for them and i say, to each their own.
