Barbie was initially introduced at the American International Toy Fair in New York in February1959. She was the creation of Elliot Handler, who was basically the founder of Mattel, Inc., with his wife, Ruth. Barbie The doll was Barbie after their daughter and the doll Ken was names after their son. If she was a real young lady, and according to her measurements she would be into a thirty-nine inch chest, twenty-one inch waist, and thirty-three inch hips. She has been a teacher, astronaut, veterinarian, soldier, singer, flight attendant, and model. Barbie also kept up with the latest technology and she got her first ever computer in 1985
