Though the issued visa may not get affected future citizenship matters may run into hurdles. The requirements for a visa being issued are that the UK citizen must possess sufficient enough funds amongst several others. These funds must be sufficient to cover the living expenses of both parties. It explicitly requires that the parties concerned should not avail of Government and Public funds that are provided to people either looking for work, low income families etc. This is a requirement before the visa is issued, subsequent debts should not affect the status of the visa already issued. The immigration officials at the various ports of entry are required to check only the passport and the visa stamp on the passport they are not required to pull the credit of the person inviting his or her spouse.
