Acklington Park is located in the parish of Warkworth in Northumberland, England. Warkworth has an ancient bridge spanning the River Coquet and a fortified road leading to a castle.

Attractions for tourists in Warkworth are the church, castle, a hermitage, river walks and the coast of Northumberland, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Northumberland, being near the border of England and Scotland, has seen many battles.
