Can I Apply For Unemployment If Fired For A Dirty Drug Test?
I worked for the same company for 5 years, and came up dirty on a random drug test. I need to support my family until i find another job.

I don't think so, if drug fee is there work policy..and when you file for unemployment they will have there lawyer at the meeting saying that was the reason for termination. (after all you wont get much sympathy from Unemployment office when you were fired for drug use) using drugs on the job could endanger co-workers, yourself and the public depending on what type of job you held.
Now...if you were fired for a dirty drug test and you are clean..that is a different story and you should get tested right away by an independent clinic and get a good lawyer who will represent you. DON'T represent yourself!

If your employer states the fact that you where fired due to failing a drug test you don't stand a chance on collecting benefits. You have to remember that it is your employer that pays in for your unemployment so if you flunked a drug test for get it.
