    Argentina is a South American country and is the second largest country in South America next to Brazil. Argentina is bordered to the north by Bolivia and Paraguay, to the wst by Chile and to the east by Uruguay and Brazil. Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world. Argentina is very diverse in its terrain. There are the Pampas in the center part of the country. The Pampas are desert area lands.  Patagonia is a plateau that is located in the south and the Andes Mountains are located down the western border of Argentina. With such a diverse terrain, the climate is very variable in Argentina. It is mostly temperate, there are places in Argentina that get extremely hot and other places that get extremely cold.  As of 2007, Nestor Kirchner is the president of Argentina.
