Yes you can be a good writer provided you have an inbuilt talent and you practice a lot. Age does not matter in these conditions.

I think you can do just about anything you want to do if your heart and soul is in it. Start out by writing short stories, or keep a journey to jot down your thoughts. I don't think age is a factor when you want something bad enough. If there is a will, there is a way. Good luck!
