What Work Out Should I Do At The Gym?

I am fine at cardio but i am worried about weights if i want to start weights what should i do at the gym?

    I'm definitely not an expert on weight lifting, but when I wanted to start lifting weights I went to one of the instructors at my gym and asked them to recommend some weights and how to use them.  You can actually do quite a bit of harm to yourself by repeatedly lifting weights incorrectly and the instructor I spoke to said that very few people at my gym asked for help but that they were always willing to give it.  

    I found it really useful to have a 15 - 20 minute 'tutorial' to learn what weights to use and how to lift them properly.
