Most used cars can be sold at a price which is reflective of the age, condition, model and make of the vehicle as well as whether you have time left on Tax or MOT. To find out how much your car is worth you should first do some research. Buy the Parkers Guide, which is one of the most reputable publications around for accurately pricing up your used car.

Look around for people selling similar cars to yours and see what they are trying to sell for. Sometimes people expect their car to be worth a lot more, simply because they have looked after it and know how much time and effort has gone into the maintenance. Unfortunately many cars lose their value very quickly and that depreciation can leave you with a deficit. If you need to replace your used car with something new you might want to think twice.

Although brand new cars are attractive, clean and never driven by anyone else ~ they often lose a few thousand pounds in value when driven off the forecourt. If you are short of cash or need a payment plan, getting car finance doesn't have to be on a brand new car either. Many companies will sell you a better deal on a nearly new vehicle on finance which works out so much more value for money.
