    Soluble fiber is found in varying quantities in all plant foods.

    Sources of insoluble fiber include wheat, whole grains, nuts, seeds, potato skins, some fruit skins, green beans.

    Dietary fiber consists of non-starch polysaccharides.  This includes cellulose and plant components such as dextrins, inulin, lignin, waxes, chitins, pectins, beta-glucans and oligosaccharides.

    The amount of each varies from plant to plant.
