I love your description. It is possible that another female dog in the neighbourhood is in season and her scent is getting him all excited, so he takes it out on who is available... He is frustrated. If he is not going to be a valuable stud dog, you will all get more peace (and so will he) if you get him castrated. He won't mind, honest!
