Why Are We Able To Discern 3 Dimension With Our Sight?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Short answer.  Both eyes take in information from slightly different vantage points and the brain interprets the information and we perceive depth of field which is the perception of three dimensions.  When you lose the sight in one eye you can still see many thing and read but your ability to discern 3 dimension is gone.

She is right. I would add that your two eyes are effectively triangulating objects and this gives them depth and 3D.
