What Does Weathering Mean?

Answer Question

It would probably be helpful to qualify your question by adding what is being weathered. However, if it is rock, then it is about the action of weather upon those rocks. For example, ice and frost can crack them, wind or water can wear them down and smooth them over long periods of time, by removing particles. Over geological time scales, weather processes transform rock into soil and sediments.
