    My Dog Had A Swollen Left Hip Then Found An Open Wound With A Hole The Size Of A Quarter What To Do?

    HE IS A SMALL BREED DOG AND IS OVER 7 YRS OF AGE and he had a swollen left hip then came an opening about the size of a quarter which produced an open wound. What do I need to do for him. Thanks val

    It can be a snake bite. Take your dog to vet as soon as possible. You can use "Bacitracin" after cleaning up the wound and apply this medicine twice a day.

    Make sure that your dog does not lick that wound otherwise it will create more complications.
