Would I see the worms in his bowels if he had them?
someone told me that that is there way of scratching them selves
his coat is flaky and looks dry but I was giving him olive oil in his food and it seems to have helped

Ask a Question, Get an Answer ASAP
There is a product on the market just now,(that is, in the U.K.)which is in liquid form, and you place one drop on the back of the neck of your pet. This acts almost immediately.so make sure he can make a quick exit to answer natures call! This should take care of eradicating the worms.
After all this, give him a Garlic Perle, once a day,(in a spoonful of butter is the easiest way) This will ensure there will be no more worms.at the same time act as a pick-me-up,and improve his coat.
Best of Luck!Give him a tickle from me!

DOGS OFTEN WALK ON THEIR TOUCHE BECAUSE THEIR ANAL GLANDS ARE FULL. I DIDNT BELIEVE IT UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO MY DOG. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THEM TO THE VET AND GET THEIR ANAL GLANDS EXTRACTED BY THE TECH, THEN START GIVING THEM LESS CEREAL/WHEAT FILLER FOOD - GIVE THEM MORE MEAT TO MAKE THEIR BOWELS HARDER, WHEN THE BOWELS ARE HARD, THEY PUSH AGAINST THE ANAL GLANDS AND EXTRACT THEM NATURALLY (THAT IS HOW THEY LEAVE THEIR SCENT IN THE WILD) KEEP OBSERVING YOUR DOG TO SEE IF HE GETS WORSE AND HAVE HIM RECHECKED BY THE VET TECH(YOU DON'T NEED TO PAY FOR AN APPOINTMENT, JUST FOR THE TECH TO DO THE EXTRACTION) YOUR PET WILL THANK YOU AS THEY FEEL CONSTANT PRESSURE WHEN THE GLANDS ARE FULL.

This may not be something you need to be worried about my dog did that for a while and i took him to the vet because i thought he had worms but they told me that it was something to do with the glands by his butt and most dogs either scoot their butt on the ground or they lick their butt if the glands are irritated. If your dogs has recently lost weight or lost appetite or otherwise looks sick you should have him checked for worms. But if his coat is fine and he has no other symptoms then he should be fine
