Have you discussed your options with your MD or surgeon? If you are having symptoms (pain, etc.) surgery may be your best option. If you don't have symptoms, reducing your dietary fat is a great idea, but can't completely cure your problem. You may want to talk to the doctor to decide what options they feel are best for you and which will keep you healthy for longer. Good luck!
