Abu Rayhan Al- Biruni was born on September 5, 973 AD in Kath Khwarezm. He was a well educated scholar who was an accomplished scientist, astronomer, chemist, anthropologist, sociologist and Physicist. Apart from that he also had expertise in Psychology, pharmacy, mathematics, geology, history etc.
His contributions to various fields of study are numerous. Due to these contributions he is known as the best Muslim scientists and sometimes as one of the great scientific minds in all history. He was the author of several books such as Pharmacy, Understanding Astrology, The Masudi Canon, The remaining signs of Past centuries etc. He was the founder of experimental mechanics, experimental astronomy. He was also one of the first scientists to enter into the field of experimental psychology etc.
