What Does Plot Means?

Plot is a word that has several alternate meanings depending on the context.

A plot can be described as a plan of sorts, a scheme to do something usually something furtive. Some examples are 'a plot to assassinate the king was discovered' or 'there was a plot to tarnish the name of the administrator'.

A plot can also mean a small portion of land usually set aside to plant vegetables. For example 'a cauliflower plot' or 'a carrot plot'.

To plot mean may also be to covertly plan something like for instance 'the wicked stepmother plotted the death of Snow White' or 'They plotted the downfall of the empire'.

A plot may also be a map or chart which follows the progress or movements of an object.
