The manufacturing of the guitar began in the year 1954 and it is still very active in production. The body type of the Fender Strat is solid with Bolt-on construction. The body of a Fender Strat is generally Alder or Ash. The neck of the guitar is made of Maple. The Fretboard of the Fender Strat is made up of Maplewood, Rosewood or a Pau Ferro. The hardware of a Fender Strat includes a synchronized tremolo fixed on its bridge. It has 3-single coil pick ups.

    A Fender Stratocaster is worth buy for any guitar player interested in Blues and Jazz. As the Fender Strat comprises of 3 single coil pick ups it give a very hard rockish rhythm crunch. The middle pick up delivers a very warm clean tone and the neck pick up delivers a very sweet and mellow lead tone.

    Most famous guitar players that use or have used a Fender Strat include Frank Zappa, Erich Johnson, Jimi Hendrix and the famous guitar duo from Iron Maiden; Dave Murray and Adrian Smith.
