My Cats Very Close To Giving Birth And Her Nipples Are Not Filling With Milk Is That Normal?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

People usually calculate pregnancy in their pets wrong and guess delivery by noting certain signs. This is not good because all pets are also living things and there can be complications. These complications can be sorted out by the vets. It is right that milk is produced in cats before delivery of the kitten but you should also know that some other signs of labor should also be present along with milk production. These signs are

       1. Reduction in temperature below 99 F
       2. Breast enlargement
       3. Milk production
       4. Changes in behavior
       5. Nesting behavior
       6. Licking of genitalia
       7. Restlessness and pacing

If your cat is showing these signs and milk production has not started than take her to vet to diagnose the problem.
