I Would Like To Switch Careers...any Suggestions?
I have a B.A. & M.A. In Theater Arts. I have been teaching middle school & college for several years. I feel I have lost my inspiration to teach. I would love suggestions on how to make a decision on a new career.

Look in to doing something that you feel passionate about. If you enjoy theatre arts, try acting as opposed to teaching. Many local dinner clubs have local theatre troupes and hire quite often. An artistically talented acquaintance of mine got tired of teaching, she went on to become a make up artist... She creating, but on live canvas. She does wedding make up and is in 7th heaven. If you'd like to totally switch direction, determine what it is you love and do some volunteer work. Perhaps you'd like to work in a museum, you could volunteer on weekends to become a docent, and branch out from there.

You should take inventory of what exactly makes you tick and what you are passionate about. Have you thought about nursing? It is very satisfying and gives a feeling of accomplishment when you see you've really made a difference in someone's life. I wish you luck!
