How Do You Write A Successful Poem?

To be perfectly honest i think it really has to come from your heart! There is an element of talent and creativity involved, but you need to give it a try!

You can write a poem and tell a story as well, i can't remember what it's called but the early French writers did it. For me it's easiest to write a poem based on whatever i'm feeling and just let the words drip from the pen it doesn't matter if it doesn't sound right at first, you can always go back but just let the juices flow and don't stop writing until you're finished. Also don't limit yourself to rhyming, you can change the ending words when you're finished but sometimes it's more dramatic and creative if it doesn't rhyme.

Some poems tell stories, I think that is what a Ballad is. Poems do not have to rhyme. To write a good one, use your feelings and try to put them down so you create an image with words. First figure out what you consider successful, find inspiration, convey your thoughts and/ or feelings clear enough for understanding but in a creative interesting way. Give us your definition for success, and anything else you feel may be important and we may be able to give more ifo.

Just think about something that you love dearly and let the words come from your heart it works for me and i think you should take my advice and try it because you never know if you don't try I can't tell you how many times I have written poems and they are so good that they could go into a published writing poems book ttyl
