Likely the head lamp switch but you also need to check the multifuntion switch(turn signal/high beam/wiper switch) and the pins in "both" switches for discoloration. That would mean high resistance witch would cause heat and a failure of the connection(as well as failure of a "replacement switch")..........if pins are discolored--replace them and check both switch connection,even if the first one you checked was bad dont stop there.........
