What Type Of Reaction Takes Place When Barium Hydroxide Reacts With Ammonium Chloride?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

    Barium hydroxide = Ba(OH)2

    Ammonium chloride = NH4Cl

    Barium chloride = BaCl2

    Ammonium hydroxide = NH4OH

    The balanced chemical equation of reaction between Barium hydroxide and Ammonium chloride is;

    Ba(OH)2 + 2NH4Cl ------------ >  BaCl2  + 2NH4OH

    Two moles of ammonium chloride react with one mole of barium hydroxide to form one mole of barium chloride and two moles of ammonium hydroxide.
