What Are Sim Skins?

Sim skins are skins which you add to your sims to get new clothes and faces. Skins are downloadable from websites and there are lots of varieties to choose from.

You can download sim skins directly to your computer or save them onto disk and drop them into the 'skins' folder, which is located in the 'Maxis' folder in 'Program Files' on your computer.

There is an expansion pack called 'The Sims Creator', which allows you to create your own skins. You place a photo in a box provided on the screen, make adjustments such as centre the image and then click 'ok' and a skin will automatically be created for you to use in your sims game. Using 'The Sims Creator' you can also change the colour of your sims hair and clothes.

As well as faces and clothes, you can also download new houses to add to your sim neighbourhood.
