What Is 'Rotten Tomatoes'?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Rotten Tomatoes is a website which reviews video games and films. How the site works is that the staff gather reviews for games and films from other sources and then they will put the reviews on their site and give the game or film a rating. The two ratings are 'fresh' and 'rotten'. A 'fresh' rating means that the game or film has been given a positive review. A 'rotten' rating means that the game or film has been given a negative review.

The percentage rating is that is given to the game or film depends on the amount of positive or negative reviews that it receives. If the reviews are counted and make up 60% positive or more, then the game or film will receive a 'fresh' rating. If the game or film receives less than 60% then it will be given a 'rotten' rating.

Currently, there are over 200 films that have received a 'rotten' rating. Toy Story 2 is the best reviewed film, with a 100% 'fresh' rating.
