My 79 camaro wont start. Has rebuilt 305v8 in it. Sat for 5 years in garage. Ran fine before now it wont start. It cranks and sounds like it wants to but just wont turn over. Ive tried gas treatment carb cleaner etc...

I"am no mechanic but did u try taking the fuel line off the carb to see if its getting any gas from the fuel pump?

I agree with the above answer.Sounds like it's not getting fuel.Try putting just a little gas in the carberator.IF that is the problem,it should run for as long as what little gas you put in will last.
There are 2 reasons a engine won't start mainly.IT's either not getting fuel...or fire.The spark plug wires could be bad or need new spark plugs.
