Yes, your daughter has a good chance of carrying the baby to term if she is under the care of a physician and follows her physician's advice for bedrest or other treatment.  Placenta previa is the condition that means the placenta is laying across the cervix; if it is present at time of delivery, a cesarean section is done to deliver the baby.

Sometimes the condition can cause bleeding, due to the pressure of the baby against the placenta (between the baby and cervix).  Usually bed rest is prescribed to relieve the pressure of gravity of the baby against the placenta, so that the baby's nutrients are not impeded, and to prevent bleeding.  Many women with placenta previa deliver fully healthy babies and have successful pregnancies, but it is important to take the advice of your OB-GYN doc and receive regular monitoring.

Wishing you and your daughter all the best!
