At What Age Can You Begin Training A Dog On Basic Command Such As Sit,stay,down,and Come?

The dog should be completely weened from it's mother and on a stable puppy food diet.  You can break up piece's of their food to put in your pocket and use the pieces along with your good response as the reward when they accomplish the task you are trying to teach them.  Remember you are a billion times smarter than the puppy.  So you have to use your wit's to make it fun and interesting along with the reward to teach them.  Never lose your patience and never scold them when you're training them.  One of the most important things you need to remember is you need to feed them at the same time exactly every day. As soon as they finish eating, immediately take them outside to where you want them to train to use the bathroom. Don't wait to take them later, they will learn to be house broken much quicker if you are very sure to take them right after they eat and be patient with them.  Once they do their business, use praise immediately after they do and then you can go back in the house with them.  Just remember it's very important that you follow the same exercise with them every single day, they'll figure it out.  Make sure when they are little you take them out often and at the same time's every day.  It's up to you to love them and be patient and always on time with your responsibilities.
