If The Moon Was Destroyed What Impact Would That Have On Planet Earth?

    There would be no more tides. It would be really dark at night.

      The fact that we would lose the tides alone would cost untold billions of dollars and trash the Eco-system as well

      Also as your question implied, we really do not know what we don't know.  The moon is also one of the many forces along with the sun that can play a part in holding the planet in it's proper place

        The moon is the main heavenly body that illumines the darkness at night. Without the moon however, there will still be light because of our present technology. The only thing that shall be grossly affected by the absence on the moon is the tides and the eclipse.
