Do You Believe In Love At First Sight?

I'm gonna go along with pension on this one... I believe in 'Infatuation at first sight', but not Love...
Love is a feeling that grows (or doesn't) over time, and makes you want the person you love to be happy, at nearly any cost... Even if it turns out that what would make them happiest is to be in a relationship with someone else.
Certainly infatuation can easily change INTO love, especially if the focus of that infatuation then demonstrates traits that you (by your nature) consider to be optimal... Just as easily, infatuation can turn to distaste, and even hostility, if the person demonstrates traits that you deem repugnant, anti-social, or unacceptable... And can be easily as strong as the infatuation was, especially since if a person we have become infatuated with shows themselves to be completely vile when we get to know them, we tend to feel betrayed, because we feel that
THEY must have been at fault for misrepresenting themselves... After all... There's NO way WE'D be attracted to someone like THAT unless they were trying to mislead us to think they were a better person than they actually are... Nonsense of course, but when feelings are involved, there's not much in the way of logic around.
So that's my take on it. And as it is mostly my opinion based on years of watching and listening to people, it's worth about as much as the paper it's written on... (yes, being electronic media it's NOT written on paper... That's what I meant... ^_^)

I personally don't believe in love at first sigh.  What actually happens is that you get strongly attracted to a person sometimes is just lust.  To love someone it takes time , I'm not talking about months, it takes years.
