    Store bought soil is usually more rich in nutrients for plants

      First of all, I don't know any house that sells soil.   Maybe you mean POTTING  SOIL.  Anyway,
      Dirt is fine for growing plants but TOP SOIL is way better.   As far as POTTING SOIL, it's ok to stick grown plants into it, but it doesn't help them to grow faster.                         Seesee
