Answer Question

Provide them with a clean environment, plenty of food and water and let nature take its course the mother will make sure that they are clean as they do this by instinct. And as well, make sure mother is feeding well as in the first bit, the kittens are feeding from their mom. If mom is used to having dried cat food, make sure you have some moist handy for the kittens

Make sure mother cat is eating a good quality KITTEN food while she is nursing, The extra calories will help keep her weight up, as well as giving her the nourishment to produce good milk for her kittens. Kittens will rely totally on mother for the first 3 weeks for nursing and she will keep them clean. When the kittens are 7 to 10 days old, their eyes and ears should open and they will get more active. Around 3 weeks the kittens should start developing tiny baby teeth and this is when you should start offering solid food to the kittens. They may just play with it at first, but their curiosity will get them tempted to try it. They should also be provided with a shallow water dish and a shallow litter tray with CLAY litter. The clumping type has small enough granules that can get stuck in tiny kitten nostrils and suffocate them. Mother cat will still be nursing, so make sure not to take the kittens from mother until 6 to 8 weeks of age.
