They may just play with it at first, but their curiosity will get them tempted to try it. They should also be provided with a shallow water dish and a shallow litter tray with CLAY litter. The clumping type has small enough granules that can get stuck in tiny kitten nostrils and suffocate them. Mother cat will still be nursing, so make sure not to take the kittens from mother until 6 to 8 weeks of age.
