How Do You Plant Cotton?

Answer Question

First step you should take is to prepare the garden area for the plantation. You should also collect some garden tools like shovel and hoe. The process you should follow is to till the land and add about one inches of compost into the soil; it will provide all the essential minerals. The next step includes the creation of rows with the help of hoe and then has to measure thirty inches of the centre of each row. You also have to take care of the soil temperature and it should be around sixty degree Fahrenheit and after checking the temperature you should plant the seeds in the group of three and firm the soil around the seeds. In fifteen days it is expected to emerge and after the five weeks of the completion of emergence, you should irrigate. You should continue with the process of irrigation intermittently and when you found that it is not accepting water anymore, you should stop irrigating. In about eighteen weeks they will start drying and the bolls get split over and the fibre gets dried. Now the cotton is ready to get harvested and you have the fruit of your labour in front of you.
