Do You Think Children Should Call Their Parents By Their Name?
For example your name is Anna and you are the mother of small children and they call you Anna, not Mom or Mommy, just Anna,and you allow this no correction......

Normally I kind of frown on this, but you know my special situation. Back in the day when I was doing like school or scout activities, every time someone said MOM, I looked up as did all the others. Ray figured that if he specified which MOM, he would get the right one. He does interchange Penny with Mom from time to time, but I seldom make an issue out of it. I know how it started and I know there is no disrespect behind it.....*p

Thanks for your answer,but you know it is never too late just give a BIG hug when he does say MOM and say I LOVE IT WHEN YOU CALL ME MOM,because that is what I am to you,great Penny thanks,I thought of the question because my elder sister allowed this from the time either of her children could talk,and it makes me cringe also to hear them say her name like they are equal or just friends,thank you baby girl.............and she has no reason nor excuse..........

I think it would be strange if people called there mum and dad by there names, when your a kid you have alot of fun and you dont do that much work because you dont have a job but when your older you get more smart and you get to have your own job and your own responsibilities, i like the way kids call the parents mum + dad!!! Lol hope this is ok!
