Glenfield General Hospital (also known simply as Glenfield Hospital) is situated near the town of Glenfield. Glenfield is a town on the outskirts of the city of Leicester in the county of Leicestershire. It is one of the premier hospitals in the United Kingdom which specialises in the treatment of coronary diseases. The facility at the hospital is currently being extended to create the largest maternity unit in Western Europe. Glenfield Hospital is located on the outskirts of the A50 and the A563, which is also called the Leicester Ringroad. It is located on the same site as some other major healthcare centres such as Leicester Frith Hospital, Leicestershire Breastcare and The Bradgate Unit.

Gorse Hill Hospital, which is now known as Gorse Hill Ambulance Station, is located on the same site, but the access to this hospital is from Anstey Lane. Some of the major facilities at Glenfield Hospital include intensive care units (CITU and GITU), children's wards, renal care units and operating theatres, among other departments.
