Car Won't Start Due To Lack Of Spark, What Should Be Done Or What Could Be Causing This?

Answer Question

On a modern car there would be two reasons:

    1. The computer is not signaling for the ignition system to spark. Typically this is because the computer is not receiving a signal from a sensor that the engine is actually turning. Look to make sure that all sensors are connected. A scan of the cars computer for trouble codes could help here.

    2. A coil or other part of the ignition system has failed. So even thou the computer is asking for spark the ignition system is broke and no spark. In this case there might not be a trouble code stored.
