Should Pakistan Cricket Board Hire A Foreign Coach?

Currently Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is searching for a coach for her National cricket team. Late Bob Woolmer was last Pakistan cricket team full-time coach. Though Pakistan didn't play well in the World cup and was knocked-out from the tournament in the first stage but Pakistan team improved under him and got some very important results like drawing test series against arch-rivals India in India and winning one-day series by a margin of 4-2 in the same series. Pakistan also defeated India and England when the duo visited Pakistan. Pakistan team became a solid unit under the Late Bob Woolmer.

But his soul departed his body when lost against minnows Ireland in the World Cup.
Since Pakistan Cricket team has improved considerably under late Bob Woolmer and played in a very professional manner in important tours with an exception of World Cup therefore it'll be a good move from PCB to hire a professional coach who can impart training to players professionally. Moreover it has been observed that teams of sub-continent give more respect to a foreign professional coach rather than local trainer. In past big names like Javed Miandad and Mudassar Nazar were tried as coaches but they failed to bring discipline in the team.

According to my opinion it's not a good decision to get a foreign coach, because there is a lot of talent in our country. When we won the world cup, at that time our coach was Pakistani. There are many experienced coaches in our country like Javed Miandad and Aqib Javed and many others. Our basic problem is not the coach; it is the structure of our domestic cricket. So the heavy amount that we expenses on foreign coaches, we should spend on our domestic cricket.

Pakistan has achieved many successes with domestic coaches. Many of the extra ordinary players have come by domestic coaches. Great players like Imran Khan. Waseem Akram and other great fast bowlers have come by domestic coaches. It should be very bad decision if we get foreign coach instead of Pakistani coach, It would be very miserable for our great past cricketers that we in presence of them we get a foreign coach.

There is no need to hire a foreign coach because there are many senior players who served the Pakistani cricket very well in their time and they have lot of experience and can be coach for the Pakistan. So the cricket board can get advantage of these senior players and their experience because they better understand the needs of Pakistani cricket. So this is the reason the Pakistani cricket board should select the local coach for the Pakistani team so that he can better train them. So there is no need to hire the foreign coach for the Pakistani cricket team.

As the Pakistani team had been getting training from the foreign coach and there was no improvement in the performance of cricket team since last few years. However the cricket board of Pakistan has never introduced a local coach in order to see the consequences on the performance of the cricket team of Pakistan. So this is the way the Pakistani cricket team should have a local coach in order to show some good performance. He can better communicate with the players and can understand the needs of the players so the Pakistani cricket board should appoint a local coach.
