Can You Help? The Strength Of An Acid Is Based On The Concentration Of-------ions?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

The strength of an acid is based on the concentration of hydrogen ions. Acidity is actually a measure of the concentration of the hydrogen ions (H+).
A neutral solution  would have equal quantities of hydrogen and hydroxide (OH-). A basic or alkaline solution would have more hydroxide ions than hydrogen ions and an acidic solution would have more hydrogen ions than hydroxide ions.
