I got a va payment of 120.75 today, so i guess they do take things out if you owe, I won't know until I call though why it wasn't the full 250, anyone have the toll free number?

I just read my letter from the VA, it indicates the checks will go our or be deposited beginning June 2009, and IF you do not receive either the check or the direct deposited 250, then you may call the VA at 1-800-827-1000. I am wondering if they are going by the last digit of your SSN as well....
I forgot in my previous answer that July 10, 2009, is when you can call the VA if you do not receive the stimulus. Sorry!
Mine is 76, and I don't owe a state, fed or other any money....so....good luck to all of us. All this over 250.00, they don't give us enough to live on as it is for one person, and the benefits given by my county are an insult....people coming into this country get more when they land on the ground...go figure....
Actually, according to the VA themselves, the checks were supposed to be received by June 10. I actually am a vet and I get compensation direct deposit from the VA. I received a letter in the mail from the VA a few weeks ago stating all payments would be dispersed by June 10, and if it isn't received by that date to call them. Well today is June 10 and no payment. So the only way to get an answer is to actually call them and see what line of BS they give us, on why they couldn't deliver as promised.

I haven't and I am a Veteran on a non connected disability pension. The letter states they will begin the check issue in June, and if you don't receive the check or direct deposit by July 10, 2009, [this is a direct quote from my letter dated 5/26/09] you can contact the VA reps standing by.

I have not receive my yet. I have check w/ my bank. All I know is that if any vets receiving any check from the VA and not receive a $250 by July 10 2009 should call the toll free number to find out why you did not receive a check. If you are on ssi or Social Security or retired rail road workers you all ready should received yours.

If you are concerned about not receiving it yet you may also want to look into your history and see if you owe your state or federal government it wil be deducted from this payment this includes child support, allimony, back taxes, and fines. Although most of you know if you dont receive it by July 10 then you can make the attempt to contact them. Lololololol sorry ex military humor..

No I have not received mine yet and thelast 2 are 77 If im correct the va has always been slow i would look for them this Friday.. Good luck
My last 2 are 02 and I haven't got mine. They say that it will be out by the 30th of June. They will probably all go out at the same time; like the monthly checks.

One of the boards mentioned payments will be sent out June 22 - 30. I hate the hurry up and wait game. It would be nice to have a time line available to view like social security.

I don't think it would be as big of an issue if it weren't for the fact that a. Vets are once again last in line to get taken care of and b. The VA won't give a specific date that we can expect the checks. SSI, welfare, etc. Got theirs last month so what's the holdup? How much shrapnel do I have to take in order to get something ahead of a welfare recipient who's too lazy to work?

I dont think it fair that you would throw people in need in front of abus like that and even worse take a pat on the back for it. As far as im concerned and it is my own opinion i served my time and my country and would do it again to protect those people who cant do what i could because now i need the assistance not knowing if tommorrow i wil be able to walk or hold my kids. Never judge a book by its cover or assume . You are exmilitary you know take pride in what you did and enjoy the freedom

YES !! As of Today 22 June 2009, the $250 was in my bank account. I am US Army .
And, I got the letter informing me of "Sometime Before 10 July" on 1 June '09.

Today Is 6 July 2009, And My Last 2 Digits Of My Sn Are "94". I Have Not Received It And I Do Not Owe Money To The Feds. You Can Call The Treasury Office At 1-800-304-3107. Press Number #2 After Menu Prompts You To Enter 1 For English. Then enter your sn. Has anybody received their VA $250 yet?
