Should I Send A Thank You Note? I Had An Interview Today But They Are Still Interviewing For The Position.
Answers
Absolutely!, the fact that they took their time and interviewed you is sufficient reason to send a Thank you, card. This will impress them, and it will cause them to remember you. Even if they hire another person for this spot, they will keep you in their file, and may call you when another opportunity comes up. This is very good thinking, and with your natural charm and good manners, you will be landing a job soon!

I agree with Pencil on this, wholeheartedly! It will impress them and keep you in mind if another position should become available.
Good Luck.

I second that!!! I always sent thank you notes (before computers!! Via snail mail!!!) as soon as I got home I wrote it, and put it right in the mailbox so they'd have it usually the very next day!! I, too, received comments that the thank you note was one of the reasons I got the job!!!!! DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

I second, third, fourth or whatever it is now. Definitely do it but make sure its very clear you are thanking them for taking the time to interview you and that you still want the job. As a person who conducts interviews for my company i would assume a plain thank you card would essentially thanking for the time and to remove for consideration for the position.

By all means, please do so. It might be the tie breaker that gets you the position. Do it ASAP and even if you don't get this specific job, they may put your application on the top of the stack for a call back.

Absolutely. I never considered the aspect of it that esmunae mentions, so yes, indeed, indicate that you are very interested in the job. Twice I've not gotten the original job I interviewed for, but did get the next job that came open.

Yes! When I receive a thank you note from a prospective employee, it tells me they are serious about wanting the job, and that they are a thoughtful person. Many times, that thank you note has been the tie-breaker when the decision is down to just two or three well-qualified candidates. So....please do write a short but sincere thank you note. Good luck! Hope you get the job you want!

Yes! This is such an easy way to impress to interviewers, and ensure that you will be remembered. In fact, many large corporations won't even consider hiring someone unless they send a thank you note.
Hope this helps!

I agree, pencil. Have been told years later that the thank-you note had been the final deciding factor in the decision to hire when I was up against other like qualified applicants.
