    Diabetic neuropathy is the damage done to the nerves  caused by the affects of diabetes.  It can be painful, cause numbness and even cause a person to have no feeling in their feet at all. Can cause sores on the feet and legs that can get very infected and may lead to gangrene-amputation, if not cared for.  It is serious stuff.  Some people will be unable to walk due to the pain and numbness and have to  use a wheel chair.
