If you are a married couple and above the age of sixty five in the United Kingdom then you are entitled to many benefits. Unfortunately so many couples are unaware of what they are entitled to and this is the reason why they don't claim what rightfully belongs to them.

As a married couple above the age of sixty five and younger than seventy five years the two of you are jointly entitled to a total of £ 6,065. If you are a married couple above the age of 75 years then you are entitled to a personal allowance of £ 6,135. There are many clauses though, like for instance it will depend on whether or not your income is less than your allowance and so on and so forth.
