How Much Does A Giraffe Weigh?

The animal named giraffe is from the class “Mammalia” (Mammals). Its order is Artiodactyla. Is from the family Giraffidae and the species is camelopardalis.

The male giraffe is known to have a height that is up to 18 feet (5.5 meters). On the other hand female’s giraffe are with a height that is up to 14 feet (4.3 meters).

The weight of the male giraffe is found up to 3,000 pounds (1,360 kilograms) whereas females are weighted up to 1,500 pounds (680 kilograms). They have a life span period of 15 to 20 years.

The ideal weight of a giraffe is around 1360 kilograms but when you go into the record weight that can be gained by a giraffe you can find it quite high; it can reach up to 2000 kilograms. When it comes to the female counterparts, they are a bit light weight than males and in height also they can be measured less.

Giraffe is the tallest animal that is a land living one and in some of the cases its height can go up to 19 feet. Some people say that it has got this kind of height because of its eating habit of having soft leaves but whatever reason makes it having this height, its height is certainly the distinct feature of this animal.
