Retail Lease Default, Can You Help?

Hello, My employer has not been in contact with us for a long time and he leases the business and we just got a 3-day notice from the owners of the property and we can not get ahold of my employer.I need some information on how long will it take to lock us out and the laws on it in CA?I think he moved out of the state and is abandoning his business.

I am not sure why the new owner is evicting you. Is it due to non payment of rent or you have violated any provision of the lease. Three day notice can evict you in three days and you can't do much about it. However, I want more details from you to answer it correctly. For your convenience I am sharing a website where you can find eviction process in California and your rights as a tenant. Visit this web page.

I am pretty sure the reason the owner of the company has not paid the lease to the property owner.I am so confused on everything right now, This company has been in business for over 30 years but has been owned by this guy for only five and he will not tell us anything about whats going on he has some very expensive equipment that is leased in the store, we have years of client files and if we get locked out what will happen to that? I am worried about if we will get unemployment or not? I just can't believe he wont let us know anything and the owner of the property says she is going kick us out any day.
