What Would Cause My Cat's Paw Pad To Bleed?

My cat has a spot on one of his paw pads that bleeds. The vet has tried to treat it with antibiotics, but it doesn't seem to work.

    your cat probably got it hooked on something and scratched it some how.

    sometimes when cats walk all the time it causes cats thinness of paw pads if your cat walks at mostly out side just walking on it may cause cracking and bleeding.

      That is so sad :(  i feel sorry for you and you cat she or he probably scratched it on something or on a wire fence i hope you take care.

        You should keep your cat in for a day and see if it gets any better. Also spray some anti-septic spray on it and wipe it with a CLEAN, SOFT cloth. Try not to get dirt in it, and keep a close eye on it.
        If that doesn't work, put some Savalon on it and bandage it, not to tight but not to loose.
