My Left Shoulder Hurts From A HUGE Amount Of Tension, Warm Or Cool Pads Don't Work, Herbals Aren't Acceptable Because Of 2 Blood Clots, What Can I Do Besides "baclofen"?

I don't want to be told to take a bath! I have a very large amount of pain in my shoulder, I am left handed, and you are probably right handed, how can I get the shoulder muscle to relax aside from acupressure? Did meditation, it didn't work. HELP!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

I am right handed and have the same issues and a botox injection helps me and generally helps for 7-8 months.  good luck my friend.

If you can't use muscle relaxants... The only thing I would suggest( if you have a pair of hands around) is deep tissue massage with an icy hot type product... Blindingly painful, but really the only way I know of to loosen it up without drugs or maybe electro therapy... Sorry.. Hope you find relief soon.

Can you take Aleve or Advil which have muscle relaxant properties as well?

My massage therapist recommended something called "Miracle Balls" I found a set at a bookstore.  there a natural way to use breathing and pressure to make muscles relax.  they work on the hips that's the only place I've tried them.  but they have instructions for shoulders neck.. Every muscle.

just noticed you are left handed.. are you using your comp. mouse with your left hand? if so make sure you have the mouse low enough that you are not keeping your shoulders in a shrug position.. this is what tanked my right shoulder and arm....

I'm left handed too and get the same pain after been on the computer ,pushing the pram,etc... You need to remember to take a break from what you are doing every so often have a stretch a little light exercise if you suffer blood clots before sitting for any length of time is not good been active reduces the chances of re-occurring
